The Journey Ahead

If you are a man experiencing struggles with religious trauma, faith deconstruction, sexually addictive behaviors or difficulties coping with the pressures of life’s demands or shame, I want to work with you! As a mental health therapist, I will walk with you on the journey as we address the life struggles that have been burdening you. Together, we can find hope, healing, and flourishing!

Located off Pelham Road, our Greenville office makes getting mental health care easy. Entering our office, you will be welcomed by a comfortable waiting area. In session, you will find a secure space for you to share the burdens that have long hindered you. Dealing with religious trauma, faith deconstruction, or sexual addiction can be challenging and an often lonely journey. I am here to walk with you in the struggle.

Who Am I

Mat Wuebben, LPC, ASAT

Mat began Wounded Healer Counseling with the vision of bringing healing to the hopeless, recognition of self-worth to those who have long questioned their identity. As a graduate of Divine Mercy University, Mat comes to counseling with the lens of seeing you as a whole person, not as a diagnosis or problem to be solved. Together we will walk through your story using personalized techniques to restore you to a place of flourishing. Mat specializes in treating clients with religious trauma, faith deconstruction, sexual and porn addiction, shame, struggles of self-worth, and identity crisis. Mat also has experience working with secular/non-religious individuals. If you have found yourself desperate for help but haven’t known where to turn, I am here for you! Give me a call! Healing is within reach!

“When we become aware that we do not have to escape our pains, but that we can mobilize them into a common search for life, those very pains are transformed from expressions of despair into signs of hope.”
